Hazardous Waste
By-products of society that can pose a substantial or potential hazard to human
health or the environment when improperly managed. Possesses at least one of
four characteristics (ignitability, corrosivity, reactivity, or toxicity), or
appears on specific EPA lists.

Less-Than-90-Day Storage Area
Hazardous waste storage areas that are set up and managed by the Environmental
Management Program (EMP). There are no limits on the amount of hazardous waste
stored. However, the maximum storage time cannot exceed 89 days.

Release
Any spilling, leaking, pumping, pouring, emitting, discharging, or disposing
into the environment (Air, Water, Soil).

Hazardous waste accumulation which is at the point of generation is called satellite
accumulation.
