The MIT Safety Program encourages everyone to report safety
hazards. Depending on the nature and location of the hazard,
this may be reported to your supervisor, Facilities or another
responsible MIT department. If an accident occurs because of
a unsafe condition, please report this so that it can be repaired
before anyone else is injured.
Safety hazards
inside a
building:
Contact the Department
of Facilities to repair a safety hazard
using their web form.
They
will process these requests faster than if we email or call
the zone about a safety hazard.
To report an imminently hazardous situation that Facilities
can help with, call FIXIT ext 3-4948 and select the emergency
option on the voice mail menu.
If the floor is wet or slippery in the corridor, stairway
or other public area inside a building, contact the Building
Services Dept cust-coach@mit.edu
If the hazard is in a Classroom or Lecture Hall, contact
253-4788 or schedules@mit.edu
If the hazard is in an Athletics facility or field, contact
the Athletic Dept athletics@mit.edu
