A World of Difference
Taking personal responsibility for the environment can be as simple as making some very manageable adjustments to your attitudes, priorities, habits and routines. At MIT, there are many ways that you can be directly involved in creating a more environmentally friendly institution, and a more sustainable world. These range from small, incremental changes in your personal behavior and practices at home and at MIT, to helping shape MIT's environmental policies and programs, to participating in MIT's environmental initiatives and the activities of local organizations.

By being aware of your personal activities, and joining them to campus-wide efforts focused on making MIT's operations more environmentally responsible, you can make a positive difference.
