Student Financial Assistance for Energy-Related Research

MIT has received a generous gift from TOTAL, a leading multinational energy company, to support students conducting energy-related research. Graduate students whose research is in the area of energy may be eligible to receive a financial award to assist in carrying out their research. Awards can be used for travel, supplies, or equipment. To apply, submit a short description of your research, the amount you are seeking, and how it will be used to Karen Gibson (kgibson@mit.edu) by Friday, March 21. Awards of $1K-10K will be considered.

MITEI Energy Fellowships

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Energy Initiative (MITEI) is pleased to announce a program of Energy Fellowships for students interested in pursuing graduate research opportunities in energy. MIT Energy Initiative Seed Fund Program

The MIT Energy Initiative requests proposals for its Spring 2008 round of seed fund grants. The Initiative's Seed Fund Program supports innovative early-stage research projects addressing energy and related environmental issues. It is envisioned that funds will be granted across the entire spectrum of energy and related environmental research areas over the next five years. MITEI Student Campus Energy Project Fund

The MIT Energy Initiative has established a grant program for student energy projects that promote campus sustainable energy and environmental practices that advance the broad objectives of the Campus Energy Task Force. Twice annually a committee of faculty, staff and students review student project proposals for seed funding and score them on merits of impact, community engagement, educational opportunity, and cost effectiveness.
