Transportation to NASKNASK 2003 will be held on the campus of the School for International Training (SIT) in Brattleboro, Vermont. SIT has a web page with driving directions to the campus atIf you are coming from another part of the country or the world, you will have to fly to a nearby city and travel by car, bus, or train to the SIT campus. We suggest that you fly to Boston and ride with a group by van to Brattleboro. This is the most convenient and potentially cheapest option, and if you can arrange to ride with other participants, it would be the most fun. Boston's Logan Airport is one of the nearby airports that you can fly to, and from there you can take a Thomas Transportation directly from the airport to the school (more information below). To find others who would like to split the cost of a van ride, contact the NASK organizers. Another possibility is to fly to Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut and travel by bus or train to Brattleboro. By airplane: The closest airports to Brattleboro are Albany, Hartford, Manchester, Boston, Providence, and New York. By bus: There is a very convenient bus service which can transport from the local airports directly to SIT. The cost from Hartford is $73 for one person, $12 for each additional person (up to 6). From the airport in Boston, the cost is $101 for one person and $12 for each additional person. From Manchester, $87 and $12. Though the cost is high, the service is very convenient because they can take you directly from the airport to your destination. The trip from Hartford takes 2 hours and 20 minutes and costs about $24 one way. A bus from Springfield is 1 hour and 25 minutes. Buses from Boston, Manchester, and Albany are 3-5 hours. Peterpan buslines used to have a terminal in Brattleboro, but does not appear to have one now. By train: Amtrak has a station in Brattleboro. The Vermonter train runs from New York (Penn Station) through New Haven and Hartford, Connecticut, to Springfield, Massachsuetts, and then to Brattleboro. The trip from New York last 5 hours and 20 minutes and from Hartford 2 hours and 45 minutes.
