
Cardinal and gray may be Massachusetts Institute of Technology's signature colors, but green is the new color of the MIT Faculty Club & Catering. As part of the Institute's efforts to be more environmentally conscious, the MIT Faculty Club & Catering has partnered with the administration to offer a series of earth-friendly events. Our expert Sales Team would be delighted to work with you to create a more sustainable and green-minded event. Below are just a few examples of our recent efforts.

- A special menu that is comprised of only New England ingredients is promoted on a monthly basis
- The Club is partnered with local suppliers to prioritize local produce and dairy
- Sid Wainer & Son® Jansal Valley Farm (Dartmouth, MA)
- Only seafood approved by the Monterey Bay Aquarium "Seafood Watch" program is proposed for events
- Option for all-natural, free-range chicken sourced from Bell & Evans® in Pennsylvania
- Option for organic and all-natural meat sourced from New England's Wolfe's Neck Farm
- All food waste is composted
- Option to partner with the Greater Boston Food Bank for large event leftovers
- Only biodegradable trash bags are utilized
- Option for compostable paper & plastic ware
- Reduction in the amount of print promotional material; focus on digital formats
- Extensive recycling program focusing on paper, plastic, glass and metal
- The Koch Cafe & the Sloan School - 100 Main Marketplace:
- Incorporates local ingrediants from a 250 mile radius
- Uses only compostable paper and plastic
- Initiated a complete recycling program
