Where did you do your F/ASIP internship?

MISTI MIT-China Educational Technology Initiative (CETI)

Taught MIT's Course 6 classes and professional communications in a team of four to university students in Tsinghua University and Xi'An Jiaotong University.

What different search strategies did you use to find your internship?

Talking to a F/ASIP Alumni Mentor (FAM) who also did CETI for his F/ASIP Internship, Attending the CETI information session on campus.

What made you decide to work there?

I love exploring China and teaching, and have always wanted to explore the Chinese university system, so CETI was a very natural pick for me.

What was the "coolest" thing tabout your internship?

I was able to work with a team with three very intelligent and diverse graduate and masters students from MIT, and we traveled to many places in China together!

Do you have any advice for future F/ASIP students?

Try internships or opportunities that excite you, even if it does not seem to be the "conventional" path to what you think you want your career to be.  College is the time for exploring and finding out what really makes you tick.

In my own words...

"These are not my own words, but it has become one of the guiding principles of how I live my life: 'Do ordinary things extraordinarily'."
