The MIT men's varsity team won the 1999 New England Championships on February 20th!
Three fencers from each squad competed against nine schools. MIT men defeated every school in the competition, with Ben Vandiver (foil), Curtis Wade III (epee), and Phil Miller (sabre) going undefeated as "C" strip fencers.

All men's foil and sabre fencers from MIT qualified to the finals, as did epeeist Curtis Wade III.

Brian Bower is the New England Men's Sabre Champion for the third time in the last four years. An MIT fencer has won this 4 out of the last 6 years.
