Meet the Team

  • The team captains themselves offer a hint at the variety of backgrounds of the team members. Click here to learn about the captains.
Microcycles

  • During the off-season, doing microcycles is a good way of staying in shape and improving your footwork. You can access a pdf of the Microcycle schedule here.
  • Microcycles are sets of sprints, jumps, footwork and intervals*. The first set, for example is set A. One does A1 the first day,A2 the next and A3 for the third day. The fourth day, one relaxes and starts another set the next day. Normally the sets are done in the following order: AABA-BBCB-CCDC and so on.


  • * Intervals: sprinting on the straight-aways of a quarter-mile track and jogging around the corners.

Order an MIT Fencing Jacket
  • The MIT Fencing Goretex® Jacket is available for purchase at the beginning of the fencing season. It is a duarble, waterproof jacket that comes with a hood, side pocket, and front pocket. The words "MIT Fencing" are written on the back and the MIT Fencing shield is embroidered in the front. The cost of the jacket is around $195.
