Fenway House is located at 34 The Fenway, Boston, Massachusetts. The Fenway is the road that winds its way around the Fens, a large park with a river, trees, fields, gardens, a small swamp, and a playground. Our bright red door and white ionic columns are fairly easy to spot. The Fenway neighborhood is nestled in-between Brookline and Boston's Back Bay, and is just a few blocks from lots of things: Fenway Park, the Prudential Center and Copley Plaza, the MFA, the Boston Symphony, and lots of nice shopping streets, cafe's, bars, restaurants, you name it. Our immediate neighbors are Berklee School of Music dorms and the Boston Conservatory, so we hear lots of music floating up to our rooms.

From MIT

Walking from MIT (approximately 15-20 minutes): Take Mass. Ave. toward the river, cross the Harvard Bridge, and then take a right on Boylston Street. Walking down the left side of Boylston, take a left on The Fenway (you'll see Boston Conservatory and Berklee flags). Keep walking (about a minute) until you see our red door and white columns, and we're number 34.

From MIT, you can also catch the #1 or CT1 buses, or the Saferide, to get you to Fenway House (see below).

By Bus/T

Public transportation in Boston is pretty great, and will easily take you between Fenway House and MIT as well as the rest of Boston. Our closest T-stop is Hynes Convention Center, which is on the green line (B, C, and D lines). Just outside that subway station is a bus stop for the #1 and CT1 buses. Visit the MBTA website to plan your trip to Fenway (we're at "34 Fenway, Boston MA").

By Car

If you're driving to Fenway House, you'll have to navigate through the twisting web of one-way streets and pushy Boston drivers. There are two ways to get to the front of the house. Drive south on Mass. Ave. (away from the river) and take a right onto Westland Ave.

Drive straight through the light with the big columns, which is The Fenway, and pull into the little side-alcove just in front of our house. Or you can drive south on Mass. Ave., take a right onto Beacon St. or Commonwealth Ave., and then a left up onto the overpass; bear left at the first light and right at the second light, and take a left turn (which is almost like taking a U-turn) into our side-alcove just in front of the house.

You can also get to us from Storrow Drive and from the Mass Pike (interstate 90). Once you get off there, follow the above directions to get to the front of the house.

Saferide buses leave from the MIT student center (84 Mass Ave) from 6pm-2am Sunday through Wednesday and 6pm-3am Thursday through Saturday. To get to Fenway House, hop on Boston East, which will stop at the corner of Boylston Street and Massachusetts Avenue (generally the 3rd stop unless someone requests a detour to Vanderbuilt). You can track the Saferide with their new online tracking system.
