Welcome to Boston's only mixed field hockey club.

We are a friendly club which welcomes all ages and abillities for social and competitive hockey. Both men and women play together at our indoor and outdoor games. Our members come from all over the globe, creating an open environment with a variety of skills.

The Minuteman Field Hockey Club was informally started in 1985 as an off shoot from the Boston Ladies Field Hockey Association started by Peter Summers, Navjeet Singh and Jeff Starfield. From the early 90's the club was under the leadership of Jim Rouse, Jeff Starfield and Ash Patel. The relationship with MIT was officially recognized in 1991. A new board, consisting of Emilie Schoots, Balthasar Heesters and Andrew Rahedi, was officially elected in 2015. Behind the scenes Jim Rouse, Dave Fry and Raja Bal remain active as advisors of the board.

Currently the club meets weekly for pick-up games. MIT, Harvard and Boston University provide access to their outdoor turf. Additionally MIT provides access to their indoor athletic facilities.

Simply join us by checking out our schedule, pick a game, bring a stick and play along.
