Resources and Support

There are a host of individuals and offices that are available to assist you in your first year at MIT and beyond. You can find a more comprehensive list of campus resources but here is a quick list of some that you might find useful now:

• Office of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Programming (UAAP) serves as the academic department for freshmen, located in Rooms 7-103 and 7-104.
  
  
• Student Support Services (S^3) provides a range of services, from personal advice to granting of Excused Absences for students with extenuating personal and medical circumstances.
  
  
• MIT Medical is a comprehensive healthcare center providing not only medical care but also health and wellness programming and information.
  
  
• Learning to Learn: This web site provides tips, tools and advice to help you improve your academic performance, including a comprehensive list of tutoring offered by departments throughout the term. The Teaching Yourself to Learn section of that site also provides information on additional resources and support services..
