Preparing for Finals
Final examinations will be held from Monday, May 20 through Friday, May 24.
Check the Final Examination Schedule to discover when and where your final exams will be held. The Registrar’s Office will contact you if you have a scheduling conflict between two or more final exams. Also, changes are made to the schedule after it's published, so be sure to check this site ahead of time to plan your studies, and check again just before finals week to confirm that none of your testing dates, times or locations has changed.
Strategies for Success
Relieving End-of-Term Stress
The last few weeks of the term can be stressful because there is so much to accomplish in a relatively short period of time. There's a variety of people and strategies that can help you relieve some of this stress. Here are a few pointers:
- Seek help and guidance from your associate advisor, freshman advisor, instructors and TAs.
- Allow yourself plenty of time for each subject by not waiting until the last minute to begin preparation.
- Speak with a dean in Student Support Services with academic questions and concerns.
- Visit the Stress Prevention Activities (SPA) Tuesday, May 14 and Wednesday, May 15, from 10am-2pm in 7-103. SPA helps students prepare for finals week by offering tips on stress relief, time management, and test-taking skills. All students are welcome to stop by for refreshments and take a break from studying.
