During Orientation students have many opportunities to mingle with new classmates as well as MIT faculty and staff. You'll have the chance to explore academic options, campus/student life programs, MIT residences, the campus and its resources, and the Boston/Cambridge area.
Orientation includes pre-orientation programs (FPOPs) offered right before the official beginning of orientation, the President's convocation, faculty lectures, and an academic expo where you'll get to meet faculty and administrators from academic departments and programs. You'll also be participating in various special orientation programs and events designed to introduce you to life at MIT.
Orientation for the Class of 2018 has concluded. Details on Orientation for the incoming Class of 2019 will be available on May 1.
