Freshmen at Mid-Term: Challenges and Solutions
Associate advisors and freshman advisors came together on October 16th for a lively discussion regarding Freshmen At Mid-Term: Challenges and Solutions. Attendees shared their opinion on how to talk to freshmen who receive one or more fifth week flags and when to advise them on dropping a class or activity. Since only advisors are copied on fifth week flags (notifications of their advisees whose work in a subject is below passing level), we encouraged associate advisors to check in with their advisees at the fifth week period to make sure they are directed to the appropriate resources.
