Freshmen thrive and are generally more satisfied when they have caring role models and mentors to guide them through their first year. Decision-making and navigating through MIT can be daunting.
The UAAP staff enjoys regularly talking to associate advisors and advisors who have been successful in their advising roles to find out how they have helped freshmen. This semester, we interviewed exemplary ones to get their perspective on the benefits, joys and challenges of advising students.
