RAA Monthly Programming

This page describes the RBA programming expectations, including: specific guidelines for RAAs in both McCormick Hall and Next House RAAs.

McCormick Hall Programming Each Month

  • Individual Programs: You are required to produce two individual programs per semester for a total of four per year. You will work with your advisor and advisees to establish the topics for each individual program.  Potential topics include: time management, exploration of Boston/Cambridge, off campus trips, dinners, academic issues such as choice of major, UROPs, exam prep, health and wellness, regular study breaks, etc. While your programs should focus on the interests and needs of your advisees, you open them to other residents from time to time. Your RLA approves all proposed programs, so be sure to connect before you start planning specifics. You will receive $25.00 for eachh individual program.
  • Community-wide Programs: Each month, the McCormick RAAs will work together to provide a program based upon topics discussed with their RLA and Advisor. These "large" programs will be for the entire residential community. You are budgeted $250 per month for this program. Please refer to your Student Life Program Planning Calendar for more great program ideas.
