The Office of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Programming (UAAP) welcomes you and aims to support your transition to MIT.
You are expected to attend Transfer Student Orientation and engage in other Orientation programs throughout Orientation week. You will have many opportunities to meet MIT students, faculty and staff as well as explore academic options, campus/student life programs, MIT residences and campus resources.
When you check in at the Student Center, you will receive your MIT ID and your personal copy of the Transfer Orientation schedule and the Hitchhikers Guide to Orientation, which will provide you with details of the week's events and activities.
- International Students: Arrive on campus August 22 and August 23. Mandatory events are held on August 24 and 25.
- Other Transfer Students: Arrive on campus August 29 and 30. All students need to arrive on campus no later than 12 noon on August 30, and are expected to attend Transfer Student Orientation.
