The Office of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Programming (UAAP) welcomes you and aims to support your transition to MIT.
You are expected to attend Transfer Student Orientation and engage in other Orientation programs throughout Orientation week. You will have many opportunities to meet MIT students, faculty and staff as well as explore academic options, campus/student life programs, MIT residences and campus resources.
When you check in at the Student Center, you will receive your MIT ID and your personal copy of the Transfer Orientation schedule and the Hitchhikers Guide to Orientation, which will provide you with details of the week's events and activities.
If you are an international student, you are also required to attend International Orientation and must be in touch with Danielle Guichard-Ashbrook in the International Students' Office, (617) 253-3795, firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
- International Students: Arrive August 16 and August 17. International Orientation (mandatory) events are held Monday, August 18 and August 19.
- Other Transfer Students: Arrive August 23 & 24. Must check in by 12 NOON on August 24.
