The Office of Undergraduate Advising and Academic Programming (UAAP) welcomes you and aims to support your transition to MIT. Orientation for transfer students is mandatory.
Transfer Orientation activities will occur on Thursday, January 28 and Friday, January 29, 2016.
'Transfer Student Orientation
Thursday, January 28 in Room 5-135
10-11:30 am: Welcome Breakfast. Information about academics, registration, transfer credit, UROPs and campus resources
12:30-1:30 pm: Lunch with your transfer mentors at the Student Center.
2-5:00 pm: Freshman Essay Evaluation (FEE). Check in with Katherine Olson in E39-375 at 2pm. You must take the FEE unless you submit a score of 5 on the AP exam on English Language and Composition or English Literature and Composition or a 7 on the English A or B Higher-Level International Baccalaureate (IB) exam.
5:00-6:00 pm: Dinner with your transfer mentors, former transfer students, staff from the UAAP and Admissions.
Friday January 29th
12-2:00 pm: Campus Tour. Take a tour of MIT hosted by your transfer mentors. They will show you all the important and cool places on campus!
