To celebrate the 400th anniversary of Miguel Cervantes' Don Quixote, two instructors from MIT's Foreign Languages and Literatures section led a two-week expedition through central Spain in June and July, 2005. Eleven students participated in the trip, titled "In Search of Don Quixote," and visited Madrid, Toledo and several cities and towns in La Mancha. The group also attended an international theater festival in Almagro and visited some of La Mancha's legendary windmills as well as several exhibits related to Spain's celebration of Cervantes' literary masterpiece. In the Fall of 2005, the group will prepared a website of the trip and will compile and edit the video footage of this adventure for a documenatry screening before the MIT Community.
