Foreword

Whom is this Guide written for?
It is for all language teachers interested in making use of Cultura, and in particular for the teachers of French in the US and the teachers of English/American in France. It is intended both for College/University Professors and for High School teachers. However, it will become obvious that this Guide is slanted more toward the former constituency (ex: the "semester scenarios" rubric would apply specifically to a College/University audience). We ask High Schools teachers to be aware of that fact and to therefore be ready to adapt Cultura to their own context.

The language used:
We decided to write this Guide mostly in English so that teachers in other languages can also read it. But, again, it is written specifically for the teachers mentioned above.

What is the purpose of this Guide?
To provide you with all the pedagogical help necessary for making the best use possible of the content available and for integrating Cultura into one of your language courses.

What is the Guide based on?
This guide is the result of a three-year experiment at the University level and one six-month experiment at the High School level. All activities suggested have been thoroughly tested.
