I agree that the words
Americans use to describe France seem
to be very superficial. But that is the image that most French
people project.
It is a standard which can be considered very chic. I must admit
that I am
not American, but the same views are held where I come from. As
teaching aid
cheese, picture of bread and empty bottles of wine were brought
to my French class back
home. This though truly hides what the real France is about, which
is probably clearer
by reading the words of the French student. Maybe, we can add
soccer to the list of
words, if France can return to the good old days this June : )
