About: Civil Servant
Although, I am sure some
of us here are the sons or daughters of civil servants, there
are much less civil servants here in America. Many companies that
are government run in France like a telephone company don't exist
in America. Most civil servants in America are not very well-paid
and respected. This is not to say that they do not do important
work or that they are regarded with disgust, but that they are
considered blue-collar workers.
