Exactly my point. The vagueness inherent in the French
version demanded not only an interpretation, but helped
maked the film much more interesting and enjoyable.
Sure, the American version was a lot clearer in the story-
telling, but how much of this brainless, Hollywood drool can
one really take? Don't get me wrong, I like getting a warm
fuzzy feeling at the end of a film also, but just
comparing the two versions, I think the French version
succeeded better in entertaing me.
