Salut! 19 french students said that they would give the homeless
man the money. Only 8 Americans said that they would give him/her
the money. what do you think of this? Do you think it is because
the French are more generous? I don't think that is true in this
case. I think that in America, there is slightly more fear of
strangers. People of course feel sorry for the homeless and like
to help them but not by giving them a quarter on the street. I,
for example, like to give to the homeless in other ways such as
working in a soup kitchen that serves food to people who can't
affort to buy thier own meals. Do you have things like this in
France? I think it is very important to give to the homeless and
people who are less fortunate that you are. My parents contribute
larger amounts of money to organizations that help support the
homeless. That kind of generosity is far more important then giving
a quarter to a homeless person on the street who will most likely
use it to buy some alchohol. -Emily
