To Register: If you are a student at MIT, you must follow the following links, secure the proper certificates prior to being allowed on the forums. The certificates are specific to the machine you are using. Read carefully the indications below and come back to this page when you are done.

  1. You must be using a Netscape web browser (preferably Version 3.01 or higher) to enter MIT Forums (MS Internet Explorer will NOT work). In order to not be prompted repeatedly for your certificate password or certificates identification, you need to make the following settings in Netscape:

    In Netscape 4.05: Click the Security button in the top toolbar:
    1. Under "Passwords"/"Communicator will ask for this password:", select the radio button next to "The first time your certificate is needed", and make sure the timeout for minutes of inactivity is reasonable (perhaps 30 minutes).
    2. "Navigator" select to always use your MIT certificate to identify you to a web site. (NOT "Ask everytime" or "Select automatically").

  2. In order to participate in the forums, you need to get two MIT certificates: have your MIT ID ready and follow the indications on the following page, Obtaining certificates at MIT. Pay close attention to item 5,6 and 7.

  3. Quick login page. Choose item one.

  4. Either follow the path to Course Locker 21/Foreign Languages/cultura2000 or come back to this page and click on Cultura2000 Forums at the top of this page

Inscription: Si vous tes étudiant à l'INT, Vous devez vous inscrire avant de pouvoir accéder aux forums. Vous devrez choisir un mot de passe simple qui vous permettra d'accéder aux forums ultérieurement.


  1. Vous devez impérativement utiliser Netscape (3 ou plus).

  2. Vous devez aller à la page suivante Quick login page et choisir de vous inscrire comme "guest". Le système vous demandera votre nom et le choix d'un mot de passe. C'est ce mot de passe qui vous permettra de participer aux forums. Nous vous suggérons un mot simple, sans majuscules (Ex: "cultura").

  3. Le serveur vous dirigera sur la page MIT Forums. Suivez les liens suivants: MIT Forums/ Course Locker 21/Foreign Languages/cultura2000
  4. Vous pouvez également naviguez sur les forums (une fois inscrit) en en appuyant sur le bouton Cultura2000 Forumsen haut de cette page.
