Les deux fêtes sont vraiment différentes. Tout
d'abord décrivons le fond de la scène : dans le
film français la scène est beaucoup plus sombre
et beaucoup plus calme en effet il y a du jazz en musique de fond
et il y a très peu de personnes. Au contraire dans le film
américain il y a beaucoup d'invités et ils paraissent
beaucoup plus chics. La musique est plus vivante c'est du rock,
tout le monde danse ce qui rend la scène beaucoup plus
dynamique. Contrairement au film français qui n'évoque
cette soirée que brièvement, le soirée américaine
a un but bien explicite puisque c'est l'anniversaire de Peter
, cet aspect se remarque bien par la durée des scènes.
Je trouve que la version française décrit une situation
dans une époque ancienne, peut être à cause
de la maison qui parait ancienne. Dans l'oeuvre américaine
l'appartement est bien éclairé et de style moderne
mais je voudrais savoir si vous pensez la même chose que
moi à propos du film américain. En France à
cause des médias on a comme vision des soirées américaines
celle du film mais je pense que maintenant ça a évolué.
Qu'en pensez vous ?
well, i was actually thinking, while i was watching the american
movie, how 80's everything looked. of course, my comment had more
to do with the clothes that people were wearing and the music
that they were listening to, rather than what they were actually
doing. but i did have your same reaction when i watched the french
version.
think there were more than a few elements of the american
party that were changed for dramatic effect. my guess is that
most parties here are exactly like the ones that you all have
there. while the movie may serve as a vehical for what we
would like to have, it is usually not close to what we do have.
i personally don't like parties that are really big an fancy and
prefer the smaller scale ones, but i think the point of the flashy
one in the movie is to fit their lifestyle. they're obviously
very well off and take the opportunity to enjoy what they consider
the good life.
This entire movie cries out 80's! Shisheido brings up a good
point, do you notice this difference? Did you think of a certain
stylistic era when you watched the french version?
j'ai eu l'impression que dans la fête française
il y avait moins de monde, ça avait plus l'air d'une soirée
entre amis que d'une grosse fête. Bien sûr il y a
de la musique, du champagne donc ce n'est pas un simple diner
mais l'ambiance est feutrée et c'est ce qui donne l'impression
d'une soirée entre amis très proches.
The American version of the party scene was so amusing to me,
the big hair and the pastel colors! And then there were the men
watching basketball clips in the TV room. The American party did
look like a big, blown up birthday occasion, but I wouldn't say
that the extravagance of it is typical. In my opinion, the party
scene was meant to start the movie off with a lot of energy and
provide a glimpse of the lives of the men. And the American version
did so.
