- File Transfer Protocol (FTP)
- Standard Internet protocol that is the simplest
way to exchange files between computers or to upload files to the
Internet.
- Failure
- The inability of a system or module to perform
a required function within specified limits. A failure may be produced
when a fault is encountered.
- Fault
- A manifestation of an error in the software
that can cause the software to fail.
- Feature
- A subset of a product, but sometimes more
than one transaction. Journal Vouchers is a feature of
the SAPweb product. It includes separate web transactions for creating,
editing, and displaying Journal Vouchers.
- Feedback
- A reaction to a behavior that has the potential
to influence the original behavior.
- Field
- A box for entering text or numbers, usually
found in forms and dialog boxes on an application screen.
- Financial Systems Services Change Coordinators (FSS-CHG)
- A team composed of group and project leaders who reviews and approves the business process owners' transport requests for production implementation.
- Flowchart
- A diagram showing the sequential steps of
a process or a workflow for a product or service.
- Focus Group
- A group of potential users or stakeholders
in a product who are brought together to gather information as input
to the design process.
- Follow-up Test
- Re-testing performed for identified issues and
after the fixes or modifications have been are applied. Verifies that
the previous test issues have been resolved before the development is
approved for production implementation. This requires that various
aspects of SAP's functionality are independent enough to work separately
for re-testing.
- Front End
- The portion of the software that faces the
user for data entry; opposite of back end, the underlying functionality
of the application.
- FSS Coordinator
- Person in Financial Systems Services (FSS)
who works as the liaison among the departments, labs, and centers,
and the developers to resolve test issues.
