This is a listing of original artwork by Gordon Thomas and Sam Byrd, who used the basic "paintbrush" feature of Windows 3.1 to create it. Each image is meant to be a visualization of either an actual Jelly Roll Morton composition, or of a fundamental Mortonian principle. These images also sprang from Morton quotes, song lyrics, or merely from our own Jelly fever dreams. All take the form of covers of comic books we wished existed, but don't. Our model, of course, was Classics Illustrated, the long-running (1941-1969) series devoted to graphic adaptations of literary classics.
