Maria Prus Maria Prus started working with glass in 2005 in her hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. As an MIT undergraduate, she has been able to continue her work with glass while earning her Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Besides her beginning classes at the Pittsburgh Glass Center, Maria has taken many summer intensive classes there, including a class on fusing and slumping. She is a member of the Arts Scholars program at MIT and won the 2008-2009 Student Mural Competition for her photograph “Chihuly at Phipps.” Currently, she monitors beginner practice sessions and takes classes at the MIT Glass Lab. |
