Sandy Martin Sandy has been a student, monitor and instructor at the glass lab since 1995; and she has taken classes at Haystack and Corning. Sandy's 'other life' is consulting with non-profit youth programs and community coalitions. Merging these disparate worlds, she enjoys teaching beginner classes, and thinking about the differences in learning styles between MIT undergraduates and middle-school students from Cambridge Public Schools. Sandy is interested in functional vessels, in glass that looks like other materials such as pottery or baskets, and in recycling scrap glass for new designs. |
