I started out as a beginner in the MIT Glass Lab in 2001. I was immediately hooked. I continued to take classes in furnace blowing, casting, sandblasting and graal techniques. I started monitoring practice sessions about three years ago, and last year began teaching beginner's classes. In the summer of 2006, I studied at the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. Prior to my work with glass, my main artistic outlet was drawing - particularly the human figure. I hope to explore metal casting next and combine all three art forms together in a single piece or installation.
