Brendon Edwards

Brendon Edwards recieved his Batchelor of Arts from Southern Illinois University and Associate Arts from Lincoln College. He has been blowing glass for eleven years and was an artist assistant for Michael Scheiner for three years. He maintains a studio in Cambridge, MA and is a teacher with the Cambridge Glass School. He started teaching glassblowing at MIT in 1998 with Peter Houk and continues to instruct and blow glass at MIT.

"My goal is to eventually achieve a high level of skill in this craft. I am self motivated and stubborn to the task. I find the alchemical nature of glass contains symbolic qualities for personal transformation. Since glass is composed of a combination of elements and opposing but complementary forces, it is a medium that is ever challenging, ever irresistible, ever transforming to the spirit of the person who seeks to begin to understand its mysteries."
