Research Interests
Engineering implantable biomedical devices from synergistic research efforts bringing together micro/ nano fabrication, microfluidics and biomedical technologies.
Engineering ultra-thin films and surface modification based on reactive and
stimuli-responsive polymeric materials to impart desired properties like
hydrophobicity, hydrophilicity, conductivity, biocompatibility, anti-fouling,
permeability etc. for tissue engineering.Biomimicry of thin membranes and films found in the human body and in
nature.Research enabling micro fabrication thin film technologies transition
into the biomedical domain.
