The Miners of Columbia
The Miners of Columbia are made into treasure hunters who are
religious hard working and successful by this documentary. The
destruction of the nearby forest because of the operation of the mine
is not mentioned. The poverty of the unemployed workers, who live in
the slum around the mine, is also glossed over. The story
only interviews one person, the owner of the mine, Don Vito. At the same time,
the narrator tells us how great the poor people are with pictures and
a story that is hard to believe.
