Image and Video Contest
Our upcoming social's theme is "Research-related image and video" contests...with prizes!
Submissions are due on Wednesday, February 27 at 5pm. Submissions should be sent to mmb6[at]mit.edu. We will feature them on the big screen at the next two socials. Limit 2 image and 2 video submissions per student (4 submissions in total). We will have prizes for the best submissions! |
Valentine's Day Social

Oral Qualifying Exams

Professor Sam Allen answered questions regarding the exams for 30 minutes. Afterward, students who have passed the oral quals tlaked about how to study for quals, techniques and strategies for answering questions and their experiences overall. |

Literature Search: The Secret to the PhD

Wine Tasting Social

Free appetizers, dinner and drinks were served catering to fellow DMSE graduate students, faculty, staff, postdocs and friends. This social featured the wine-tasting of materials-related wines, hosted by our very own Professor Linn Hobbs who described the tasting experience.
