Making the logo work for you
Many offices have successfully combined their names with the “MIT” letters to create their own unique wordmark. In such cases, the choice of font for "MIT" typically matches or complements the other text in the office title. The MIT logo should not be used as text within an office name, nor should the “MIT” letters in a department wordmark be altered to resemble the MIT logo. Below are several examples.
Do
Do combine the letters “MIT” with a department name or wordmark (see two additional examples below).
Don't
Don't combine the MIT logo with a department name to create a new wordmark.

Do
Do make sure the letters “MIT” are distinct from the MIT logo, if “MIT” is used as part of your name (as in this mock example).
Don't
Don't create a version of the “MIT” that could be perceived as a variation of the MIT logo. The MIT logo and the “MIT” in your name need to be distinct so each identity is clear on its own.
