I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but moved around a lot as a kid. After living in Kansas, Texas, and Iowa I finally ended up in Lexington, Kentucky where I spent the majority of my childhood. I really became interested in chemical engineering while doing research on nanosphere maskes to fabricate precise chemical templates at the University of Kentucky, and decided to follow this into pursuing course 10, Chemical Engineering, during my undergraduate career at MIT. I started in the Green Group in January of 2012 and currently work with PhD candidate Yuko Kida on desulfurization of crude oil by supercritical water. Outside of research, I enjoy tennis, soccer, watching college basketball, and trying new restaurants and food.
