I grew up in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. I completed a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2006 and a M.S. co-major in Mechanical Engineering and Biorenewable Technologies at Iowa State University. After a summer of 2008 internship at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, I returned to Iowa State University to pursue a Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Chemical Engineering.

My research interests focus on biomass conversion technologies for the production of transportation fuels. My previous work includes techno-economic analyses of biomass thermochemical conversion processes, process modeling of biomass fast pyrolysis for the production of transportation fuels, and biorefinery location analysis to minimize fuel costs. Publications on these topics can be found in the Fuel, and Biofuels, Bioproducts, and Biorefining journals.
