Project BRIDGE: Connecting Campus to Community

What a progressive and revolutionary community we would have if its parts were truly connected!  What a strong union we would have if students, families, businesses, and community organizations collaborated on ideas and worked toward a common vision and brighter future.  Imagine college students participating in an integrated effort where service, labor, dreams, leadership, jobs, and ideas are organized so to procure this brighter future.

What a progressive and revolutionary community indeed!

The MIT Grooves saw an opportunity to provide a service which would change the role of the college student from one of a member of a community to that of an active participant and a co-creator in its future. This service was Project BRIDGE. Project BRIDGE intends to link capable college students in the Boston/Cambridge area to community groups needing varying resources. It includes motivational programs as well as a practical service for transporting contact information from college students to community organizations as well as from community organizations to college student. Project BRIDGE is but a part of a larger community service effort by the Groove Phi Groove Engineer Chapter as well as the National Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship. Only your support of projects like these will Project BRIDGE as well as our communities thrive and succeed. Explore the page to find out more information as well as to connect to the community to become an active member.
