
United South End Settlements (USES),
incorporated in its current organizational form in 1960,
is a human service agency serving a lower income
population residing in the South End/Lower Roxbury
sections of Boston. USES' mission is to be a catalyst
bringing together the resources of participants,
community, and agency to
USES' constituents reflect the diverse, multi-ethnic, and racial character of the community, and range in age from 3 to over 100 years. The Computer Clubhouse at USES is a model after-school learning environment where young people from local Boston neighborhoods use technology to develop projects based on their own interests.
