Orientation Hiking Trip

The Orientation Hike is an annual event aimed at introducing incoming MIT graduate students to New England hiking. Taking place at the start of every fall semester, it's a great way to get to know people who also enjoy the outdoors.

We take two buses up to the White Mountains in New Hampshire, which is approximately a two and a half hour drive from Boston. Each bus is split into groups of around eight people, plus one experienced leader. The groups chosen based on ability; whether it's your first time hiking, or you're an expert, we'll have a trip for you. For information regarding this past year's trip, please see the 2007 GSC Orientation Hike website.
