GSSD Development
Upgrades and New Features
In order to make GSSD more useful, we routinely perform upgrades and explore the need for new features. GSSD will soon be available in French and Japanese, and subsequently Spanish. We are also exploring innovative search features such as geographical browser functionality.
CyberCollaborations
Consistent with the CyberPartnership strategy, GSSD continues to examine barriers to knowledge access and explore various solutions, such as knowledge-content sharing, aggregation for data harvesting, and workflows for rationalized communication and coordination.
Knowledge Content
The knowledge-base is being analyzed so as to gain insight into the content of the knowledge materials that is searchable by users. Analysis of content helps us track emergence of new problems and new solutions, or identify changes in understandings of issues within or across domains, and/or changes in the knowledge contents over time.
Mapping e-Institutional Knowledge
In order to provide the foundations for next-generation networking strategies, GSSD regularly examines how its content and activities relate to similar initiatives in the domain of knowledge networking for development. This helps to identify redundancies, salient gaps, and potentials for synergy or 'niche' foci.
