Nanofabrication of Ionically Conductive Membranes

The global need for sustainable energy is ever increasing and energy storage devices such as lithium ion batteries show great potential. A major component of batteries is a separator separates the electrodes and holds the electrolyte which enables fast charge transport between electrodes. The desired properties for the development of new separator systems are high ionic conductivity, mechanical strength, and superior morphological control.
