Functionalized Multilayer Thin Films for Protection Against Chemical Warfare Agents

Research efforts currently focus on the analysis of reactive coatings for protection against chemical warfare agents. Uses a specially designed diffusion/permeation cell to determine the mass transport properties of several Spray Layer-by-Layer (Spray LbL) thin films. The Spray LBL technique allows for the incorporation of polyelectrolytes, nanoparticles, and metal-ions into these thin films to adjust the functionality and chemical warfare protection. Also, focusing on the effect of droplet size on these spray LBL thin films.
