Lisa Messeri has a BS in Aerospace Engineering from MIT. After graduating in 2004, she worked as a policy researcher and consultant primarily in the area of Science and Technology. Many of her projects focused on investigating how governments enable, direct, and deter scientific endeavors in the US and other countries. She became increasingly aware of the intricate dependencies and influences between the government, science, and the scientific and public communities. These complex relationships offer many courses of inquiry, and hopefully, when pursued, contain implications that further illuminate the current state of science and technology.
