Biographical Sketch
Brian Heng received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1999, and
the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
in 2001 and 2005 respectively. He is currently Staff Scientist at Broadcom Corp. in Irvine, CA.
His current research interests include video processing/compression, video streaming, digital signal processing,
and multimedia networking.
