When posting a commitment/actual, the fiscal period is determined for each fund separately. That means one FI document (which is posted in one FI year) could cause one FM document (or documents) in multiple fiscal years. -> change
Postings into past months could mean posting into past fiscal years of funds. They are not allowed at UofT -> There might be a need to stop that from happening
The determination always uses the same date field from the original transaction according to customized settings (e.g. Purchase order: creation date) -> no change
