“Dynamic Budget Objects” and the level of detail.
Dynamic Budget objects (in FM from 4.0) allow the specification of budget at different levels in the Commitment Item Hierarchy in different budget versions. This permits:-
- Budget proposals at different levels of detail for different funds or sectors of the University Community.
- Budget allocation generally at very high level (e.g. “Total Expenses”) to permit spending flexibility across the CI hierarchy.
- Budget / Actual variance reporting at selected and possibly different levels in the CI hierarchy.
