15 Saving Files and Copying to the Clipboard
Mercury can write:
- Graphics files containing the image currently on display (see Section 15.1).
- Files containing the 3D coordinates of the molecule(s) on display. You have the choice of saving as:
- An .mry file, which retains full information about display properties such as atom colours, etc., but can only be read back into Mercury (see Section 15.2).
- A file in external formats such as .mol2 or .pdb, which do not hold information about all the Mercury display settings but can be read into other programs (see Section 15.3).
You can also copy images to the clipboard (see Section 15.4).
