This program is a joint project of the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts, the Lutheran Episcopal Ministry at MIT, and the MIT Technology and Culture Forum.

Hope in Action @ MIT is a student-led initiative that is organizing students involved in public service at MIT to form a cohesive leadership body that supports and encourages MIT students to more effectively engage in local service and reflection.

We are organizing the MIT community to build a sustainable and increasing culture of commitment to local justice work by:

a. Putting out a survey to entire MIT community to determine the status of service at MIT.

b. Creating a 12-person board of service ambassadors by May 30th who will work to increase the number of people engaged in local service

We are turning isolated service leaders into a coordinated network of MIT stu- dents, faculty and staff that will create momentum around local service.
